I am a freelance editorial photographer whose stories have been published by National Geographic (nine times), Smithsonian, Geo, Natural History, International Wildldlife, Archaeology, Architectural Digest, Airone, Paris Match, the London Sunday Times, and other magazines.

I am the sole photographer of 17 photo books, including "Aborigines of the Rain Forest: the Yanomami" (Time-Life) and award-winning "Wind, Sand and Silence: Travels with Africa's Last Nomads" (Chronicle Books).
