I am a self-taught photographer specializing in fine art with an avid interest in travel, writing, editorial, and portraiture. I started out almost 30 years ago with a new Nikon FM and a trip backpacking around Europe. I earned a BA in International Studies with a concentration in French and Third World Development and went to North Africa on traineeship for 4 months. Since then, I have kept my passion for photography alive, training my eye, learning darkroom technique and eventually transitioning to digital about 5 years ago. I recently joined the NAPP (National Association of Photoshop Professionals) and am honing my skills in Photoshop and Lightroom. I am currently working on a book project entitled "Mexico/ A Photographic Journey of Color and Light". I hope to finish it this year.
