1. Tour du France – NOT RACE PHOTOS – Just photos of solo riders on the same route as the race Mont Ventoux, the biggest, baddest, scariest of all -- and the one that'll decide this year's Tour. Plus it's in Provence, where there's lots of pleasant riding to be had. -OR- Croix de Fer - Galibier - Alpe d'Huez, an iconic route in the Alps that's pretty easy to do on your own (you start and finish in l'Alpe).
2. Touch the North Pole. Looking for glory images of people AT the actual North Pole, touching the pole and being excited.
3. Explore Russia’s Yellowstone – RUSSIA Looking for ADVENTUROUS shots with or without helicopters – prefer spring – fall imagery Kamchatka Peninsula in Far East Russia has Geysers, bears, wolves, eagles, waterfalls, hot springs—everything Yellowstone has, plus huge volcanoes and minus the crowds. It’s also now listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. South Kamchatka is where you want to go. It is true wilderness, only opened to the public in 1991. You can hike several-day and strenuous routes to Khodutka, Asacha, Opala or Ksudatch volcanoes or any of the other smaller volcanoes.
4. Hut to Hut Via Ferrata in Italy – Dolomite region http://www.infohub.com/outfitting_service/441.html
5. Iceland Any and all generic adventurous looking shots from the country.
DOMESTIC:
