| A new feature in the Photographers Direct search facility allows for researchers to find images that are model or property released. Just tick the 'Release Required' box on the search page and your search will be restricted to images with releases. This helps with the growing number of images being licensed for advertising purposes through the website. If you can't find what you need by searching our 190,000 images online, please try our free Picture Research service - you may well be amazed by the results! | Recently returned from 6-months in the South Atlantic, Andrew Gransden has built up an extensive collection of high-quality digital images of the unique wildlife of the Falkland Islands and South Georgia. With no concept of what a human is, the wildlife on these islands is content for you to approach with care to within a few metres, although it is not advisable to get too close to some of the larger Elephant Seals and Sea Lions. This presents unbelievable opportunities to the photographer. The portfolio includes a wide range of close-up images of all 4 types of penguin (King, Gentoo, Rockhopper and Magellanic), seals (Southern Elephant, Fur and Sea Lion), Albatross, birds of prey and many others. They capture the breeding and young of the bird colonies the islands of Saunders and Sea Lion.
