Seasoned photographer Rod Jones is a native of the UK, but has lived in the American mid-west and California, as well as on the European mainland. He has travelled extensively in Europe, the USA and Canada, and has a collection of more than 10,000 stock photographs covering such themes as land-, sea- and town-scapes, nighttime, people, humour and weather. He has recently moved from the UK to south-west France, and is available for assignments in France and Western Europe. He has just returned from the French Alps in Haute-Savoie and managed to include a trip to CERN just prior to the ‘Large Hadron Collider’ (LHC) coming into service in August. He has customers in the areas of publishing, advertising and web-design, and has also provided a ‘photo-finder’ service, tracking down aerial and satellite images of (for example) the Amazon rainforest, and also astronomical objects like star-fields, nebulae and galaxies. Images can change the world -- the way we think, speak, and act. To further this personal vision, Conservation Photographer and writer Noah Jackson will be working in sensitive forest communities in Southeast Asia for the next year. He specializes in documenting environmental issues and themes involving social justice within and on the boundaries of forests. As a former Fulbright Scholar (Sarawak, Malaysia), Peace Corps Volunteer (Philippines), National Geographic guide (Tim Laman) and forestry consultant (Indonesia), he has contacts throughout Southeast Asia and is especially adept to working in dangerous situations. He has recently begun a series of photographic children's books that highlight issues surrounding forest culture. New work involves working with forest communities in Borneo, partnerships with conservation organizations, and producing photo essays for conservation oriented foundations, non-profits, and clients. Noah is available for assignments and special projects throughout Asia. His work is collected widely. | The Africa Image Library is the personal library of Ariadne Van Zandbergen. It provides extensive coverage of the wildlife, cultures, architecture and scenery of Africa.
