With another busy year drawing to a close, all the staff and photographers at Photographers Direct would like to wish you all the best of the season, and a prosperous New Year ahead.

|Arizona, USA photographer Tom Brownold has completed a months long photographic journal of the 100 plus year old Livery Operation into the Grand Canyon. |Dave Reede has just updated his website with new photos, including several sections of outstanding agriculture imagery. His files are continually being updated and currently contain almost 100,000 images. To view new sections check the "New Images" option on his website.

|Award-winning travel photographer and writer Michael DeFreitas has just returned from Arizona, Cuba, Peru and Toronto with more great topside and underwater images. Michael specializes in adventure travel from around the globe. His work appears in many of the world's top travel publications. In October, Michael received the Caribbean Tourism Organization's 2009 Best Photography Award and a Silver SATW Bill Muster Photo Showcase award for his "Middle East Memories" portfolio.
Over the last year, Michael has also added images from Southern Chile, Israel, Egypt, Hawaii, Banff/Lake Louise, the Alps (Swiss/German/Austrian), Mexico, New Mexico, Northern California and Oregon to his 70,000+ stock library.
In the next three months Michael will be shooting in Southern California, the Turks & Caicos, and Mexico. He is available for piggyback assignments.
|Dawn Black is a British photographer based in Singapore and specialises in travel and floral images. She has recently returned from a trip to Siem Reap in Cambodia and has some stunning images of the ancient Khmer temples around Angkor Wat. These can be seen and licensed from both the PD website and at www.dawnsblackphotography.com along with her collection of floral images.

|Colorado landscape photographer Glenn Randall has announced a new portfolio of images called Sunrise from the Summit, which can be found now on his website. Here's how Randall describes the motivation behind his project:
"Summits are magical places. Reaching the summit of a high peak gives me the exhilarating, humbling and awe-inspiring experience of being a tiny speck on top of the world. To me, mountaineering is almost a metaphor for the human condition. It embodies in concrete form the way we reach for the sky, yet can only climb so high."
In the spring of 2006, Randall began climbing Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks in the dark and shooting sunrise from the summit. His goal was to create images that captured the feeling of standing atop the roof of the Rockies. To date he has done 22 shoots on 15 of Colorado's 54 "Fourteeners," peaks reaching 14,000 feet or higher. To see this unique collection of Colorado landscapes, please visit:

|The vibrancy and passion of Scotland's music scene was celebrated with a series of unique musical gatherings which blended some of the finest musicians born in, and influenced by Scotland and its rich musical heritage. The gigs brought exceptional Scottish talent together for the first time will take place in Glasgow, UNESCO's recently named City of Music, in the SECC, Scotland's largest indoor venue and the spectacular Clyde Auditorium on November 28th 2009.

|Trudie Bell has found the Florida Panhandle to be a rich source of dramatic photographic images. The primary focus of her collection is nature photos, including blooming plants, insect, reptiles,amphibians, birds,weather and landscapes.
However, she also enjoys photographing the grand old architecture that you find in the southeastern United States and fireworks. She is adding photos to her collection daily. To date they have 17 bird photographers from North America to Europe to Bogota to Tasmania, and will make the site live in the new year with over 12,000 birds.
