| Colorado landscape photographer Glenn Randall has announced a new portfolio of images called Sunrise from the Summit, which can be found now on his website. Here's how Randall describes the motivation behind his project: "Summits are magical places. Reaching the summit of a high peak gives me the exhilarating, humbling and awe-inspiring experience of being a tiny speck on top of the world. To me, mountaineering is almost a metaphor for the human condition. It embodies in concrete form the way we reach for the sky, yet can only climb so high." In the spring of 2006, Randall began climbing Colorado's 14,000-foot peaks in the dark and shooting sunrise from the summit. His goal was to create images that captured the feeling of standing atop the roof of the Rockies. To date he has done 22 shoots on 15 of Colorado's 54 "Fourteeners," peaks reaching 14,000 feet or higher. To see this unique collection of Colorado landscapes, please visit: www.glennrandall.com/sunrisefromthesummit Glenn Randall Glenn Randall Writing & Photography United States Tel: 303 499-3009 Fax: 303 499-8041 Email: gprandall@comcast.net http://www.glennrandall.com |
