She worked her way from Kerala in the rural south to metropolitan New Delhi, with significant time spent in Varanasi, Jaipur, and Agra, among others. In addition to coverage of the landscapes, culture and people throughout the country, Fowells spent a great deal of time photographing the preparation and presentation of foods specific to each region, including a series of images shot at the culinary training program at IHM Pusa, New Delhi.
Initial images can be found at www.juliefowells.com/india
More photographs will be added to the site regularly, and the full collection will be available for viewing, licensing and print purchase by mid July. With thousands of images on file, Julie can be contacted via email or phone for any photo requests not currently represented on the site.

| | | | | | | | | Heather Angel has a major new exhibition on view at Kew Gardens in the Nash Conservatory from 29 May – 5 September 2010. Wild Kew is a celebration of the wildlife attracted by the vast array of plants and habitats at this World Heritage Site. Based on Heather's book Wild Kew, the exhibition reveals a hidden wealth of wildlife through the seasons in this International Year of Biodiversity.
Working early and late in the day Heather captured amorous parakeets, hyperactive squirrels and an approachable fox. Along the waterside margins an opportunistic heron stalks a fish or pounces on a stray waterfowl baby. A host of insect pollinators visit summer flowers and dragonflies hawk back and forth beside water. Within the Lake, a shoal of rudd are spotlight by sun above a green algal carpet and a Chinese mitten crab lurks. Autumn fruits provide a feast for jays, jackdaws, parakeets and squirrels, while winter brings an array of winter flowers and wildfowl with the chance of courting swans.
The Kew entrance fee provides free entry to this exhibition – part of the Summer at Kew Festival. See www.kew.org for more details.

| | | | Chris Barton is working on a long term project to document the extraordinary beauty of the wilderness areas right on the doorstep of the 21st Century city of Vancouver, Canada. Many visit, but most only touch the edges of these often primeval places, and the dramatic variations in the terrain, seasons and weather add to the mystery and inhospitality of the region. Some prints are now available and others will 'come online' over the coming months. Chris Barton Chris Barton Travel Photography Canada phone: 604 738 5147 [email protected] chrisbarton.redbubble.com
