Tom Brownold Photography is proud to announce the publication of The "Grandest Ride". This 48 page photography driven book of the livery operation on the South Rim of The Grand Canyon is the culmination of a year's photography by Tom Brownold. The portfolio and book depict the day in the lives of the cowboys, farriers, saddle maker and Mules working on the South Rim and in Grand Canyon, Arizona. The book is an excellent example of Tom's versatile documentary photography style which is based upon the use of natural light capturing the moment for his clients. Callum Winton reaches finals of the Master Photographer of the Year.

The Master Photographer Association has unveiled the shortlist in the 2010 Master Photography Awards and commercial photographer Callum Winton has been selected.

Callum's photograph will join others from across the world that will adorn the new 'Wall of Fame' at the forthcoming Awards Dinner and presentation ceremony that takes place mid October. The overall 'Master Photographer of the Year' will be chosen from these short-listed entries.

Run by the Master Photographers Association, the Awards are open to professional photographers from all over the world and gaining placement in the finals is a great achievment.

To celebrate this fantastic news, Callum is offering a 25% discount on all bookings and licensing placed on or before the end of October.

Dawid Theron Photography's portfolio has been updated with images of the recent Airshow at Ysterplaat Airforce Base in Cape Town.

Diponkar Banerjee will be in India during the month of December on a photography tour of Rajasthan and tiger tracking. You can view his travel blog at savvyadventurer.com which includes links to his images posted on various websites. Diponkar now shoots exclusively on Canon equipment, using a Canon 5D Mark II camera, a full frame 21 megapixel digital camera, and L series lenses. He also captures true high definition video on the Canon 5D Mark II.

Now available! A series of snowy, icy images from Arctic Norway, now available from Travel and Location Photographer James MacDonald. Images include arctic dog-sledding, snow-mobile tours as well as images of the Northern Lights, details, landscapes and abstracts. Arctic Norway makes a fantastic theme for Christmas cards, displays and for travel brochure useage. James has many place-specific images of Northern Norway, from Tromso to Hammerfest and beyond.

The PhotoLocate website has recently been revised with an improved and very comprehensive search facility. Images can be found by searching via the many categories, by a word search, or by a known image reference number.

Mike Peak, who runs PhotoLocate, has travelled to some new locations these last few months and will be adding many more images to the PhotoLocate website during the next few months.
Images can be purchased online directly from the website.
Mike Peak also offers to host images from other photographers.

While on a recent photography workshop in the Blackwater National Refuge area around Cambridge, Maryland; Bob Tetro ran across a collection of antique cars, one of whose front dash simply lent itself to this shot.

Jaak Nilson is an Estonia-based professional travel, stock, assignment, event and lifestyle photographer who is available for assignments worldwide.

On his website you can find stock photos of the Baltic State of Estonia, Italy, Spain and the US National parks. Also included in his collection are nature, landscape, people, children, hiking and rural photos.

His photo archive is one of the most comprehensive and diverse collection of images from Estonia you can find online.

Nicolas Chorier (nicopix.com) has just uploaded a new selection of aerial images from Uzbekistan including Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva. Check it out on www.nicopix.com as well.

Sydney based street- and travel-photographer, Steve Marshall, has released his Australian street-photographic portfolios. The street series demonstrates Marshall's ability to cut into the fabric of his surroundings to reveal definitive moments on the streets in Sydney and around Australia.

Matthew Borkoski is going to Hawaii form October 15th to the 24th. 15-17th on the Big Island 18th to the 24th on Oahu.

Heather Angel's latest book – Exploring Natural China is just out. Covering specific locations, each with a map, it highlights the key animal and plant species – from Siberian tigers in the frigid north-east and rare gibbons in a southern rainforest, to pink dolphins in Hong Kong, vast lotus lily lakes and glorious alpine flowers in Yunnan sought after by the plant hunters. A special section: Back from the brink, highlights five species where special efforts are being made to boost the sparse remaining populations by means of captive breeding.

These images are just a small selection of the extremely broad range of stock Natural Visions now holds of the flora and fauna of China's wilderness areas – no doubt one of the most comprehensive in the UK. Heather is constantly adding to this collection, which includes a vast panda file.

Matt Dayka was recently honored by the ASMP as one of the "Best of 2010." This prestigious achievement was awarded for his work with Vitamin Angels, a non-profit organization combating malnutrition worldwide. Since beginning work with Vitamin Angels, he has taken seven trips to countries on four continents, documenting lives that the programs reach.
