Dave Reede is a Canadian photographer who lives in Winnipeg, Canada. He has worked over the years to develop a first class file of stock photos depicting the beauty of the city he resides in. A good sampling of these images can be viewed using the search option on his website. Recently, Dave has been photographing the newest addition to the Winnipeg skyline, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

f2 Freelance Photographer Magazine has come 'back home' to Icon Publications Ltd after seven years with EC1 Publishing. The first brand new-look f2, April 2014, is now on sale. From May/June onwards the magazine goes bi-monthly. Phil Clarke Hill is now based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and will be there for the next few months including run-up, during and after the World Cup.

Austin Taylor is 3/4 through an 11-week project to photograph the Up Helly Aa fire festivals in Shetland Islands, Scotland, UK. The spectacular Lerwick Up Helly Aa, Europe's largest fire festival, is well known but did you know there are 9 other fire festivals throughout the Isles? These are also exciting major community events in their own right and have their own take on the theme (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Up_Helly_Aa).

Daytime events include preparation, Viking marches, and all the paraphernalia of helmets, axes and galleys. In the evening comes the procession, singing and galley burning.
