I am a mature professional photographer, recently qualified with an HND but with many years photographic experience behind me. I have won a BIPP Silver award in the Student entry in 2006.

I cover social events, weddings, proms, graduations and portraits as well as commercial work having recently worked for two restaurants covering both interiors and food shots for web pages and publicity materials.

As part of ABC Photography I work with another two professional photographers covering a wide range of commercial projects. We have recently had our work showcased in an exhibition in Glasgow's Mussel Inn Restaurant/Gallery

Extensive experience of shooting fine-art nudes both in studio and on location. I have also been shooting wildlife since 1984, specialising in Scotland and Kenya. I have provided commercial photography for businesses both local and multinational since 1996. Movie stills for Paiaya Films and Crash Independent Cinema were shot to a brief using sketches provided by the client.

Austin Taylor is a freelance photographer based in Shetland, UK and focuses on creating stunning photographic images of Shetland, including wildlife, landscape and events as well as further afield. He is available for commercial and commissioned work in Shetland and elsewhere. Recent work has included commissioned magazine/ commercial work, weddings, portraits and commissions depicting Shetland life for promotional, editorial and website use. I work mainy in Scotland as a freelance Photographer concentrating on events and festivals in Edinburgh. I have a large collection of pictures of Edinburgh mostly in digital format.

I breed and train Shetland ponies to be ridden or driven in their native home, Shetland, Britain's most northerly outpost. Although fairly new to professional photography, I have a very good eye for seeing the unique characteristics in an animal. The patterns of nature intrigue me and I enjoy seeing this through my camera lens.

My main aim is to promote the Shetland pony in its natural environment to anyone who likes their unique and cheeky character.

I also enjoy taking my camera and using it to make folk smile by showing them the results of my work of the nature around them.

With a background in freelance press photography and aerial imaging from a fixed wing Piper aircraft, in 2016 I undertook to gain CAA approval to fly unmanned aircraft for the purposes of capturing images.

I am now a CAA approved UAV aerial photographer.I use two DJI Inspire Pro aircraft's, and use them to capture both high quality 16MP images and up to 4K video.

Having been on a number of major film sets as a pool photographer and working as a contract photographer, I am discreet and have an all round understanding of both ground and aerial photography.

I am fully insured for both aerial imaging and imaging from the ground using my full frame Nikon equipment.

I have been enjoying photography now for the last 4 years. I see myself as an amateur photographer and I mainly do this in my spare time. My main job is an IT Manager in Edinburgh Scotland.

Years of experience in Event, Wedding, Portrait, live theatre and music, and headshot photography. I particularly enjoy capturing natural light in cities at dusk and at night, seeing the abstract in the everyday. I love the way the variety of shades and colours of light become apparent in a naturally lit shot - contrasts of colours on different sides of the face or angles of buildings. I also love to find the fascinating geometries and shapes that exist in nature and cities right before our eyes, that aren't so apparent until captured in that frame, angle, and crop.

I began photographing Scotland’s beautiful landscapes and seascapes around 2007 in earnest, shortly after purchasing my second DSLR. As well as landscapes I am also passionate about photographing birds, wildlife and night photography.

I like my photographs to look as natural as possible and the way the camera recorded them, therefore I keep post-processing in the digital darkroom to a minimum. I do, however like to experiment with ND and GND filters to increase exposure time in daylight for cloud movement and to smooth out water.

I currently use a Canon 5dMKII for all my landscape work and a Canon 50d for wildlife. Lenses include a Canon 17-40mm f4.0 L, Canon 70-200 f4.0 L and a Canon 400mm f5.6 L. I also use various filters manufactured by Hoya and Lee.
